Running os x 10.5.7
If I click on the desktop, then select about or preferences from iTunesMenu it will show the window as expected. However, when I close the window, a finder window will appear. This seems to only do it if you click on the desktop first. If you have focus on another app, then all is well.

Didn't know where to post bugs, so thought this would be ok.

This is not a bug, I made it to return focus back to the application that you where last on. In your case, your on the finder and the finder is built so when you return focus, click the finder icon in the dock, and there is no window open it will open a new window.
If I can find a different way to return focus so that the finder doesn't open a new window, I would use it.

Thanks for contacting me,
Mr. Gecko
