I just installed Voice Mac and am unable to complete a call when clicking the little "phone" icon. Help please.

VoiceMac does not enable VOIP on Google Voice. Google Voice is not VOIP. In order to place a call, you have to add a forwarding phone, such as a Cell Phone, Land line, or VOIP with a phone number. Than in VoiceMac, you select the phone you want to place the call with and it calls you to place the call using your Google Number. If you wish to do VOIP, I recommend using a SIP provider. You can also use Skype in.

Ok, I'm confused. I need to be able to use Google Voice to make calls, chat, receive calls without having Gmail open. I use a Mac - will VoiceMac do this? I have a google voice number.
Thanks

VoiceMac will do it only if you have a SIP account which has a phone number and that phone number setup as a Forwarding phone in Google Voice.
